2 Low - Funky Lil' Brotha

2 Low is a rapper from the neighborhood of Hiram Clarke in Houston, TX. He was only 13 years of age when this debut album was released in 1993 on Rap-A-Lot Records. Production on this was done by N.O. Joe, Big Chief and Bido 1. Featuring on the album is Scarface, 3-2, Devin The Dude, 5th Ward Juveniles, Kilo, 2 Clean and Red Dog. Every track on here is bass heavy with lots of G-Funk samples. The lyrics don't fall short either. 2 Low gives a nice perspective of a kid growing up in the streets of Houston. There is some misconception of 2 Low being Scarface's younger brother. This is not true. He was discovered by Scarface and was quickly signed to the label. He then earned the title of "The Child Rap Star of Rap-A-Lot." Although he made many appearances on other albums from Rap-A-Lot, this was his only solo album and is very sought after.

3re Tha Hardaway - Undaconstruction

3re Tha Hardaway is a group from Miami, FL. The three members are B.O.X., Black Pacino and CE2D. This was their debut album and was released in 1999 on Dead Serious Records. Production on this tight album was done by Pimp C of UGK and E-A-Ski. All three members come with hard lyrics and nice flows. Features on the album are from UGK and E-A-Ski. This is not your typical record from Miami. It doesn't contain any booty shaking/club music. This is straight up gangsta rap from the 9-0-4.

Icey Hott - Mind Over Matter

Icey Hott is a rapper and producer from the infamous neighborhood of Hiram Clarke in Houston, TX. He is a member in the group, Street Military and as well as the Killa Klan. This was his solo effort and it was released in 1999 on High Power Records. All the production was done by Icey Hott himself. The beats are pretty tight and Icey Hott provides his signature production pattern. Lyrics are also very good and blend in really nicely with the beats. Featuring guests on the album are Pharoah, Lil' Flea & K.B. Da Kidnappa of Street Military, Malek & Kook of Fakkulty, Z-Ro, South Park Mexican, Mafia Genie, Dat Boy Grace, Rasheed, Filero, Big D, Money Black, Lord Loco, Texas T, Vernon Howard, Keyz and Klondike Kat. Overall it is a decent effort by the Street Military DJ and one that can still stand on its' own.
