Parental Advisory - Straight No Chase
Parental Advisory or P.A. is a group from Atlanta, GA. The three members are Big Reese, K.P. and Mello. They are also among the first members of the Atlanta based musical collective known as The Dungeon Family. P.A. debuted in 1993 with the album Ghetto Street Funk. After a five year hiatus, the trio released Straight No Chase in 1998 on Dreamworks Records. The amazing production was done by Tez, Pretty Ken, Rob Crawford and P.A. themselves. The beats are an impressive display of sample free music derived from live instruments and blended with full bodied funk and soul. This difficult and unorthodox method gives the group their own identity. All three members are gifted lyricist. Their rhymes are rich and filled with word play. Features are courtesy of Pimp C of UGK, Big Gipp of Goodie Mob, Sean Paul of Young Bloodz, Sleepy Brown, Esperanza and Mr. Mo. The combination of creative material on this record easily separates it from the rest. Parental Advisory released their third and final studio album in 2000 entitled "My Life, Your Entertainment."
